Poor Clock Management By Both The Lions and The Bucs

I feel like there was a gentleman’s agreement between the 2 coaches. If Detroit would have taken a knee with 1 second left every time, I think there would have been 5-10 seconds left at the end. Assuming Tampa took their timeout! Still a chance but not really!

Bowles is on record saying that "There Was No Gentlemans Agreement".

Like Bowles, you aren't far off from miscalculating the time at the end of the game. Facts>Feelings! There were 36 seconds left at the end of 3rd down. A timeout called there would have forced a punt or a FG attempt. The FG attempt would have been from 49-50 yards out, where the Lions kicker has a career make percentage of 38%. Bowles other lame take was that the game was over because the Lions were already in FG position and "We weren't coming back from that. Nonsense! A one in a million chance is better than no chance at all. He tried to play it down instead of admitting his head wasn't in the game and he messed up.

How people don’t get this is mind boggling. Hell I’ve seen an article today saying Aaron Rodgers is promoting NFL logo for the Super Bowl conspiracies. Went on to just ridicule him on so many levels when all he did was as reference it and make a joke he wanted the logo next season to be Jet green. This is how idiots win at anything. They tire you out with their stupidity.
I’m saying that Bowles waved the white flag and Lions knew they weren’t using their timeout. Otherwise they could’ve ran the ball and still ran the clock out. I don’t agree with it but people are making up things because they don’t understand what happened. Just like in the Aaron Rodgers deal. He makes a joke that evidently hardly anyone watched live, and people have taken it out of context like he is Alex Jones.

It's mind boggling alright that you are the one making things up and then putting that tag on someone else while not understanding what really happened. SMH.

The Lions could not have run out the clock. That's a fact. Both coaches had a brain fart at the end of the game. Campbell is lucky to have not paid the price for it. Bowles is lucky to still have his job. Boomer Esiason and his co-host covered this on their radio show tonight and said the exact same thing about what happened.

Why are you saying that Bowles waived the white flag, and the Lions knew the Bucs weren't going to use their timeout? Did you see a white flag being waived? Nope! Hand signals? Nope. Again, Bowles said that there wasn't any Gentlemans Agreement. And how did the Lions KNOW that the Bucs weren't going to use their timeout? Is Campell a mind reader? Nope! The simple explanation for what happened is that neither coach realized that Tampa Bay had a timeout left.

What does Aaron Rodgers comments or jokes about the NFL logo have to do with this thread topic? It would get more in-depth discussion in a thread of its own.

I've attached a clip from Bowles post-game press conference where he downplays the end of the game snafu. The comments to it overwhelmingly shred Bowles. If you are willing to take a moment to get opinions other than from the mirror, and outside of SR, it might broaden your perspective on the subject at hand.
