I Don't Think Many People Want Our OC Position

What doesn’t hold up to any historical scrutiny? You’re missing my point. Nobody is saying no-one wants the job, we’re saying it’s unattractive to candidates getting multiple interviews which is absolutely a fair assessment.

There’s a reason Pete Carmichael was still OC this season and it’s not because Allen or Loomis really wanted him to stay.
So there are 18 OC openings (there abouts)
Let’s say half of those are ‘call your own plays bc HC is defensive’ (I think it’s fewer , but let’s say 9)
Maybe there are 3 GREAT possibilities
And we won’t get those bc we don’t have top 5 draft choice or rookie contract up and coming QB
We were never in contention for those - if a poster wants to imagine we had a shot at a GREAT candidate, they are free to , but there’s really no reason to expect it
So we’re one of 6 landing spots for the next tier of COULD be very good/great OCs
The prevailing arguments are there are more than 6 of those potentially good/great candidates
