Challenger disaster was 38 years ago today. Even though I was only 8 years old when it happened, I remember it because I was very much into astronomy and space. Hard to believe it's been that long now.
I was a freshman in highschool. It happened during social studies class. Of course the principal felt the need to lie to us and tell us that what we saw didn't happen. Like we weren't going to hear all about it on the news after school.
Same thing in fourth grade when Reagan was shot. The teachers felt the need to lie to us about it all day like we weren't going to watch it on the news when we got home.
