Derek Carr on Michael Thomas’ tweets

Michael Thomas is a competitive guy. With all the success he’s had in his career, I can see him having trouble accepting a smaller role in the offense. He still believes that he is someone that should be featured, but I think with the injuries and the emergence of all of our young guys, it’s best for both the Saints and Thomas to part ways. In my eyes he is not a 1,000 yard receiving guy anymore, but he still thinks he is. I hope it works out for Thomas wherever he goes, i just wish he would have handled the situation in a more professional manner.
