I'm learning for a hobby. Swords won't be for years if ever. Not really interested in blades other than maybe a nice Damascus chef's knife. Considering making my own cutlery too tho. I know it's possible, but not sure what it'll take skill and resource wise.

I figure to do the end to end items in my head, woodworking will be necessary too. Where I'm going to forge has a woodworking program too. It's actually a sweet deal. Take the classes and then they let you book time to use the gear. I'm sure I'll need to bring materials, but not having a workshop and equipment to buy\maintain will be worth it imo.
