Derek Carr the target of parade float “joke”

Regardless of how you feel about Carr, there is one thing that’s for certain - it’s going to take a long time for the Saints fanbase to get used to the idea that their starting quarterback doesn’t look like a robotic, A.I. machine throwing perfect lasers week after week, after that was just about all they knew for 15 years (not to mention while being guided by a now renown playcaller).

History tells us that there won’t be another HOF quarterback walking through those doors anytime soon.

Yes, I know, different eras and all…but without looking, and I know the standard is low, however I am pretty sure we just watched (statistically) the best non-Drew Brees quarterbacking season in Saints history, but you’ll never know it listening to our fans whose bar has been raised to almost impossible to ever match again levels.

Carr has his flaws, but I think he showed a lot as the year progressed; the guy was in fact “pretty good” down the stretch IMO, and believe it or not, sometimes it takes even a 10 year veteran a little while to take on and learn a whole new system, especially when it’s a new learning environment with an entire cast of new teammates and coaches.
