Shots fired at least 10 injured at Chiefs Super Bowl Parade
Yep.. we live in a s***hole country.. to be clear, im not commenting on the “whys”.. there are a million different “whys”.. im just talking about facts, and the fact is that we are no better than Beirut or Mogadishu or parts of Mexico .
Well, I can't speak for Beirut or Mogadishu, but as far as MX and violence, indeed, there are parts of the U.S. that aren't any better than parts of the U.S., but also there are parts of MX that are way more dangerous and more violent than anywhere in the U.S. Just in the past 2 days, there were 2 mass shootings, on in Zacatecas (8 dead +more wounded) and one in Tabasco (5 dead + more wounded)
But then there is the type of violence that goes beyond the shooting... for example, a a couple months ago, 5 college students went to see a concert in Jalisco and disappeared. They found them because of the video that was posted on social media of them being executed. Apparently, they got in an argument with another group of young people in a parking lot, the other group pulled out automatic guns, took them to a remote location, made them kneel down on broken glass, and shot them.
You don't see many (any?) reporters or singers in the U.S. gunned down because someone didn't like what they said/sang.
Chiapas, I don't know how to describe Chiapas.
Police in the U.S. don't routinely find bodies chopped like chickens (heads, arms, torso, legs) or mass graves, or execution videos on social media.
There is one other aspect to this level of violence, but I don't want to bring it up here... maybe I do it in MAP.
In any case, yes, gun violence is a problem in the U.S., but I wouldn't compare it to other places.
And lastly, with all of the bad you get with police in the U.S., be glad that you get it that bad with the police in the U.S.
