Maybe it's best left to a single thread. I'd suggest it be a separate thread dedicated to @guidomerkinsrules mentions, but this risks creating an ego monster.
One can only imagine the hours long interpretive dance to come from having a dedicated thread. But a few days in an otherwise routine thread seems harmless enough.
