Things happen. Many games especially are determined by strokes of luck/bad luck. Not that I disagree with the Chiefs example per se, but the best team doesn’t always win the Super Bowl.
It’s typically the hottest (and more importantly, the luckiest) team during a very specific time window that does. It’s a big reason why winning a SB is extremely difficult.
