One NOLA food per row only…

Aunt and Uncle left the Parish for Colorado in the 80s. Their final meal was at R&C, and every time they are back in New Orleans it’s a must that the family eat at R&C. It’s good food (bordering on great), but it’s the ambiance and memories that set it apart.

Were the 70s and 80s the golden age of the Parish?

My dad worked at Michoud for years through the 70's and 80's, R &C's was a staple for lunch runs....Their mac and cheese is the world's best IMO....I dated a few girls from Chalmette and that was a frequent go to place, love the atmosphere, so classic NOLA.....

First thing I have to get upon visiting NOLA is a cup of seafood gumbo and a shrimp poboy....usually at Kenner seafood....
