Dan Marino tore his in the early 90s at age 32 and came back to play 6 more seasons with all but the last of those at a high level. They were still cutting guys wide open back then.

I mean Marino was an actual statue in the pocket so he didn't really need an Achilles anyway. But, sure Cousins could come back fine and he is a solid QB that's better than anything they had on the roster. But he's also not a difference maker and, like Carr, is pretty much so a commitment to mediocrity at the QB position. Could be enough to win the South, but I doubt it's much more. And he probably only has 2 or 3 good years left at most. I'd be much more concerned if they got one of the top young QBs in this draft. Cousins is a stop gap that isn't taking them anywhere long term.
