Saints signed QB Nathan Peterman

What I don't get is that "camp arms" are guys you sign right before, well, camp. Undrafted FAs or guys like Peterman who can run scout team or just take some reps to give the other guys a break - they get signed in July or early August.

You don't sign a camp body in the first 2 days of FA, a month before the draft.

So I guess the "player/coach" angle makes the most sense.

Either way it's high comedy.
I have no idea if your for or against your argument.

He is the 3rd QB or lets say 2nd, either way only one QB starts and gets the majority of snaps for game day, the backup gets snaps in preparation for possibly playing on game day and the third guy runs the scout team to get everybody else on offense prepared (backup O-line and backup skill position groups) I never said anything about a camp arm, but people are upset with the signing like the guy was supposed to be the starter when he was signed for depth and to help push Haener in camp.
