NFL meeting to ban hip drop tackles.. (Update: Now banned)

You guys are making yourselves mad over stuff you seem to not understand.
There's a lot of extremist views in this thread, I'll give you that. I agree about the injuries caused by some of these tackles, so I've backed off my initial stance a little. And it is now a rule, so I'll wait and see how it plays out. But right off the bat, the example provided of the Mark Andrews tackle already sends up a red flag. Does it meet the criteria of the penalty? Yeah, I guess so. Was it malicious and intentional? Not in my opinion. And that's where I think the call will be inconsistently administered.

It's in the rules. I hope it doesn't muddy the waters any further. 🤞
