I don't get why FSK bridge being down would send beach traffic up to Wilmington DE? The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is the one that connects Eastern Shore and Western Shore? If THAT were down then yes we'd be talking about a huge detour up through Delaware.
Very true, yet a lot of those northeast of Baltimore folks use the FSK to travel down to 695 then to Rt. 97 or Rt. 2 to 50 and then on over to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
The thought is instead of dealing with double the traffic now in Baltimore, the northeast Baltimore folks will just take 95 up to Wilmington and then head down 113. Will it happen? Possibly but who knows. Beach traffic is chaotic any way you slice it......
