It's possible that there was an improvement in the offense, DA recognized it, but still decided after he season was over that the first 12 games and last season warranted changes to the offense staff.

The late season improvement was a combination of better offensive play and the quality of opponents. It wasn't one or the other, it was both.

Honestly I think our offensive system change had more to do with the system being archaic (we were very intentional in our coordinator search wanting one of the more modern offenses implemented), along with a position coach or three consistently not having their guys prepared properly, which was also an indictment on the fired coordinator as well.
