I’m inclined to think the Saints would ideally like to leave this draft w/ Bowers

If Bowers and Fashanu are both sitting there at 14, would you trade down to 15 for a 4rd round pick?

Nope. I think there is almost zero chance both are there. I also think it's a tough choice of BPA and Need. I would just take Bowers. If the Colts want to give a 2nd next year, then I take Olu.
Saints must get better in the trenches OL, DL. Better protection for Carr and find a pass rusher in this draft. Cam has only 1yr, Turner only 1 yr, Chase only 1 yr, need another bona-fide DT to pair with Bresee. Those are more pressing priorities than the TE position. There will be a TE to be had in the 5th rd that'll be just as productive as Bowers will be, history tells us.

I agree with all of this, but BPA is how teams should draft. If 3 OTs go before us, then Bowers is BPA by a lot. I don’t think there’s a big gap between the DTs to prevent one at 45.

Also, there isn’t another TE with Bowers RAC ability. Dude is special. I think there will be talent in the 5th but no one there is close to Bowers.
