I don’t know why I thought it was 1985 when I was 9 years old. Like many kids, I was forbidden to watch anything R rated, but I remember the teenagers talking about it seemingly all day, every day. I didn’t see the movie until I was 15.
I was forbidden to see any R movies as well but I was lucky enough to have a flaky cousin who would take us. One Saturday she came over and picked up me and my buddy in her ‘69 Mustang fastback with the 289 and 4-speed.
A true flower child, she lit up a joint on the way to the theater to catch a double feature “don’t tell your parents or we’ll never get to do this again “ Tom’s dad was a Baltimore city cop.
The movies? Bonnie and Clyde, and Bullitt. I think we were 11 or 12 at the time. Tom was head over heels in love with her :hihi:
