UEFA Champions League

let's not be too quick to absolve Kane - too much evidence at this point :p

the thing that separates Arsenal for me is they NEED this both for CL and domestic - they let a huge chance slip through their fingers this weekend and will be doubly motivated (i would think)
for Bayern it feels more like a consolation prize especially losing a league title that had come to be seen as a birthright (obviously that could be its own motivation, but *shrug*)

FINALLY saw full highlights and i think Cancelo's foul was the real loser - just hella dumb for no reason - and i'm going to lay that on Xabi - his antics ratcheted up the tension on his team. he keeps his cool and Joao might not slide tackle going away from goal

As an Arsenal fan, I think winning would definitely represent a big step forward for the club, but at the same point just getting in the the CL Quarters and being in it with Bayern is a big step up over the last 6 to 8 years. As far as the league goes, it is and always was Man City's title to lose and it will remain that way until Pep leaves City, barring just having a magical year where everything goes right for a team. The key will be who is in the position to win the league when Pep steps down but before Man City buys the next great manager and team. Right now, to quote Arsene Wenger, getting top 4 is like a trophy.

But, I'm not sure that I'm the typical Arsenal fan since I didn't start following them until their glory days were over.
