I guess this is Today in Movie history.
The movie is 1941, and the subject is Wild Bill Kelso, (John Belushi), or as it turns out a real Marine Captain named Everett Yager.
He turned up in real DNA history, he was a real person. Here's his photo:
That's Wild Bill Kelso alright, and he did fly off into the crazed distance in California toward the end of the movie.
Some kid found his jaw bone after he crashed his airplane in California. The crash happened in California, but his jaw bone was found in Arizona. They're blaming a bird for having flown it across state lines.
Probably a Cuckoo bird.
