I’m inclined to think the Saints would ideally like to leave this draft w/ Bowers

I will be very interested to learn in two or three years when they talk about it, if Brock Bowers would’ve been the selection for the Saints if the Raiders hadn’t grabbed him first.

I agree that a stud right tackle for the next 10 years is important, but a generational talent at tight end would have been more of a team altering selection. If he only lasted one more pic, I think they Would have gone in a different direction.

I just hope it’s not going to be like the year we tried, but couldn’t quite trade high enough to get Patrick Mahomes
Why do people keep referring to Bowers as a generational talent. If he was, he wouldnt' have slipped out of the top 10. There were people arguing me down that he'd go damn near top 8.

I think Bowers was preference, I think he'll be exciting, but history is working against him. There just aren't many under 6'4 250 lb TE's that have made an impact in the NFL. Maybe he trailblazes, but the TE he was most compared to in George Kittle was found in the late rounds and took time to develop.
