Agree.... My point was - That's the only offer I am excepting in this hypothetical, Twitter/X induced, hyperbolic scenario. If you don't get a starting OT or Big Boy contested catch WR/TE... You keep him and that's that.
I'd certainly take either of those for him. But I think a 2nd rounder puts you in a position to get one of those in the draft next year either in the second or gives you the ammo to move up for one. I don't think this team will be ready to really compete for at least 2 or 3 years to might as well stockpile picks/talent. Plus, as I'm sure you know, player trades are so rare in the NFL due to cap issues and needing time to learn schemes. But, they should be open to it if it comes around.
