Before their was Punk, before Grunge, before PNW even got an NBA team, hell even before their was a Band named Death, their was the Sonics

They sound comparable to The Who. It does look like they formed well before them(they formed in 60, The Who in 64), however they didn't record until 64, not sure what their sound was like before then.
