Formula One

People tell me Nascar is boring all they do is turn left.. and I then try to tell me F1 is great... and then you watch it and nothing happens... they all parade around the track... whoever has the best set up is untouchable... and we all go to sleep cause it's a snooze fest. But I flip it to Nascar and they are racing hard to win points throughout the race.

No argument here - Nascar is definitely more entertaining on the track.

I think that F1 has its excitement and it's far more interesting when you start watching the whole field rather than just the front (thank you Drive to Survive), but if passes for the lead are what makes racing exciting for a lot of people, Nascar is a superior series on that point. Some Nascar races (a single race!) have more passes for the lead than an entire season of F1.

But there's more to it - the technology and the speed of F1, the glitz/glam and money of the places they go, the international component, the intrigue is all pretty fun to follow. That said, it's pretty crazy when many race weekends on the schedule see more excitement and interest on qualifying day than they do on race day. It's not always like that, but a handful of fixtures it is.
