Saints Minicamp Updates Day 2 / 6-12-24

Rattler will continue to improve, but one knock on him is that he's a "see it throw it" QB right now vs one that throws with anticipation. The INT he threw vs Lattimore on an out route was potentially an anticipatory thing, or even eyes. While his PA delivery to Moreau for a TD is an example of a see it throw it play.

Anyone know how hard it is for a QB to develop anticipation? For reference Jay Cutler was an example of a See it throw it QB
I do not disagree with the overarching sentiment that you want to see Rattler throw with more anticipation. But I'll disagree in the case of this specific play because Means was his fourth read on the route. The coverage condensed. In essence, the play wasn't there to be had, especially not against Marshon. And Spencer was not fully set and the ball got away from him. It was a high throw and Marshon read it well and made a the pick.
