Good analysis of Carr

Really? I don't think anyone on the staff would be that delusional and honestly thought that.....

With adequate protection Carr is a good QB, and if the offense around him improves he is a more than adequate bridge QB for a few years, but I don't really think he is a long term solution (meaning more than 2-3 years)....

In fairness, anyone replacing (a healthy) Brees will miss many beats in comparison....
Their actions spoke a different story. They went all in on Dc before the Raiders even let him go, officially. Then they kept the same OC that trained with Drew Brees, then taught DC4 the Drew Brees playbook. They may have tweaked it a little. But regardless, they said DC4, you're our next DB. Ill circle back to what ive been saying, I think they only looked at the stats and the probowls and the 4th Qtr comebacks, and the fact he seemed like a great teammate (the video of him doing his best Terrell Owens impresonation, but its was "thats my team" and not "QB". Regardless, that sold me as well. Then they said, we need to look no further, he's our guy. Btw, im not criticising Carr, there are many that fall short of DB and he'd (Carr) would probably admit that himself.
