And in keeping with the chain theme... I don't get Olive Garden, at all. Just yuck! There's got to be a good Italian place in every city that is better. Agree on Red Lobster in New Orleans. Why.... ever?
Olive Garden for a hot minute in the mid 1990s was not terrible, it was actually pretty good.. of course i was looking at it thru the lens of a broke college student, so i also thought Outback Steakhouse and those one-off Al Copeland concept restaurants (Straya ? Something something Factory ?) we’re kind of fancy back then .
