2024 Tropical Weather Thread

So I saw this story on CNN.

I think it's all facts....the water temps, the la Nina pattern set up, etc. It's science.

Does it produce a hyper active season? It may or may not. I suspect that this season will go into October rather than primarily August and September. Shoot we had Zeta a few years back in early November

Outside the obvious property damage, it's the irritating inconvenience of no power for days/weeks after even a moderate Cat 1 storm due to massive power line loss.

Just another reminder to everyone living along coast (both GOM and Atlantic) to prepare.
