The only FG I have kicked was a 47 yarder and it landed about 30 yards downfield close to the boundary on the left side of the field. Maybe it's supposed to simulate how bad actual college kickers are?

That's exactly what it's doing. If you're on the road it's going to be crazy tough. Short kicks are a breeze however as you just don't use any power and it goes where you aim it. Just click on all extra points and it will never waver. They're super easy with that. The meter goes nuts in high stakes situations on the road and I love it even tho I missed 3 against UGA and it cost me the game.
