Wondering if any of you have read any books on marijuana? I'd like to get more knowledgeable on how it works on the brain, etc. and maybe the history of it through the years. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I've not looked for any books. Specifically because the system was designed to impede further study after the Nixon admin went against their own science and classified it as schedule 1 despite all evidence saying it was safer than alcohol.
That's not to say it's harmless, only that until recently no legitimate studies were done so that rule was not challenged. I accept the more tangential ones like traffic accidents, underage use, and opioid dependence reduction as they are more based on statistics.
The bias inherent in product testing since leaves me dubious at best. That should be changing, but I still see it in places.That said, I'd be interested in what you find. Might be that's happened and I'm just an old guy yelling on the lawn.
