Olympics Paris 2024

I’m not sure what he means by relationships
Also sure the 4x100 mens (and mixed relay) underperformed, but I think it’s hard to complain any other speed event
I'm not entirely sure, but I'm guessing he thinks they're being too buddy buddy and not going with 4 best who can run the race. I do think the big problem is they need a consistent group who have run together for years. Iirc, when Lyle had to withdraw, they didn't just swap him out, but moved the lineup around. That really doesn't help. 24+ years without a gold in the event they should dominate is long enough. They haven't made a change yet and other teams are having a much better time with fewer mistakes because of continuity. They maybe can learn a thing or two from the others. Other teams will make an occasional mistake, where ours is every Olympics.

I don't understand it though. It shouldn't be that hard. I've run relays before and with some practice, it's not too bad. Timing is everything tho. Taking off too early ahead of the exchange will wreck your race more often than not.
