Bill Vinovich calling his first Saints game tonight since the no-call (Merged)

I don’t understand why Vinovich is so hated TBH. He isn’t the one that missed the call. Kind of became a scapegoat/mascot for the Saints fans to point at as the bad guy, probably because he was the only familiar name most people knew.

This fantasy where he was supposed to overrule the call even though it wasn’t his just isn’t something common to the game, at all.

Another thing that hopefully isn’t common to the game is allowing a receiver to be mugged a full two seconds before the ball arrives, in such a critical spot and critical moment, which propelled one team to the Super Bowl and destroyed another’s chances.

It wasn’t an accident.
