Larry Mac basically just said what I think about the Dillon deal. Nascar has let these things be settled on the track. Hitting a guy in the back on the last turn before the checkers has been something that they don’t penalize. And where the 11 and the 3 were on the track is going to produce contact - even if Austin steered left, that doesn’t mean that’s what actually caused the collision and Austin is just tying to keep his line to win the race at that point.
No - what Austin did wasn’t clean and the other drivers can hold it against him. But it’s really hard for Nascar to get into officiating this kind of scenario with rules and penalties.
