2024 Tropical Weather Thread

Well yeah, some places don’t need it - as a matter of sensibility. I’m referring to people who live in flood risk areas.
Thats the problem though, most places have at least some flood risk but are being zoned and then sold as safer than they are. I live on the top of a hill. I have no risk from flooding but it doesnt protect me from tornadoes or fire. Tried to get earthquake insurance since I figured it would be cheap and on the off chance the New Madrid rips. Nobody even offers it in my area. If that thing goes, it’ll make things really interesting.
