Well, wrecking in Nascar has been a time honored tradition for as long as it's been around. Drivers have been doing this for years. The difference with AD is he not only punted Joey, he then almost immediately right hooked Denny. If all he did was take out Joey, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Nascar hasn't ever suspended anyone for right hooking someone on a short track. Same with punting someone. But two in succession was too much and Nascar made the correct call ro strip the playoffs from both the driver and the owner . And I agree the spotter deserved every bit of his suspension for telling AD to wreck em.
