Derek Carr stayed and made sure everyone got an autograph at yesterday’s open practice

I do think it's an issue when the report on your starting QB says he needs a clean pocket to be effective.

As much as that's true for any QB to an extent, the disruptive ability of NFL defenses means you're not always/often going to get that clean pocket. If that limits his effectiveness significantly, we're going to see a game changing impact at some point, particularly against better opposition.

Whether the new scheme can sufficiently mitigate that issue in his game, while installing multiple new linemen, is a key factor to watch for, in my opinion.
What is crazy is he has the 22nd highest QBR under pressure in NFL history. He's thrown the 12th most TD's under pressure in NFL history but has also thrown 11th most picks under pressure in NFL history behind Manning, Brees, Brady, Big Ben, Rivers, Ryan, Montana, Warner, Romo and Cousins.

Which I know there is way more to the story than statmuse, but just using that as a basis.
