This team has 2 serious problems - and a few other observations

1. Oline - critical condition - No starting tackles out there right now. We might get a back-up tackle that is cut but you don't see starters getting cut at this position. Shame on us for not putting more emphasis on this in the draft. McKinstry could be a good player but another tackle should have been taken.
If only we could've seen this coming. If only there was some way we could've known that relying on Penning at RT and a rookie LT was risky. Had they known then maybe they could've done something to prevent it. Maybe they could've said, "Does anyone else notice we don't currently have reliable starting Tackles? Is that something we should look in to? Having Tackles is kind of important." If only...

In what world does it make sense to go into the season with a retired starting RT, a failed LT starting at RT, and a rookie LT? You say they should've drafted another Tackle instead of Kool Aid. I say it shouldn't have even come to that. They should've had a handle on the position before the draft. It's baffling to me how they have handled the position the past few years. This didn't just sneak up on them. I love the Saints but it's frustrating how they ignore glaring issues until it's too late.
