Allen better not mess around with naming Rattler QB#2

Neither Haener nor Rattler have face a team playing all of their best defense players and game planning their defense to do their best to confuse and harass the QB.

There's a reason a lot of QB's, especially backup QB's, look great in preseason games and not so great in regular season games.

Neither Haener nor Rattler have proven anything about how they would do against a starting defense that has game planned. That's why coaches don't make their decisions just on the performance outcomes during preseason.

All true. And just as you have stated, the coaches have been evaluating both Haener and Rattler the entire offseason, not just be preseason game performances.

There's a reason coaches are coaches and fans are fans. The worst coach can out coach any fan 9 out of 10 times.

The 1 out of 10 times must be a reference to Haslet not playing Delhomme when Brooks was injured, only needing a single win down the stretch to make the playoffs.

Who knows. He may have gotten distracted by the Saintsations, clouding his judgement.

It's a hard pill for a lot of fans to swallow, but it's the truth.

The truth is that it was an easier one for SP to swallow than most Saints fans.

Coaches are mortal human beings who make their share of mistakes in life, and sometimes bad judgement decisions in football games.

Nobody goes through life undefeated.
