Taysoms been in the league a long time. The team would be better positioned to send one of the young qbs to the practice squad and use the roster spot for another position. Having four qbs on the 53 man roster doesn’t make sense.

Again, Taysom has not run this offense as a QB. People are freaking out that Rattler might not get enough reps in the system as the #3 QB. And, there is concern that Carr doesn't have enough time in the new system to run it, but somehow Taysom can suddenly start or complete a game at QB in the new system without taking reps in the new system in camp?

Risking losing one of these two promising young QBs on waivers just doesn't make sense. You likely don't have two Joe Montana's but it's possible you could have one and you don't really know which one at this point. My money would be on Rattler to be better but Haener has ability. Even if his ceiling is solid backup QB at a low cost, that is worth more than roster spot #52 or #53 that are likely to churn for the entire season.
