Are people saying there is some kind of conspiracy with this?

I understand not feeling very welcoming to the flashy rookie who gets a lot of endorsements & attention. That’s human nature to some extent.

But there is a pretty big gap between not seeing her as a meal ticket (or not liking her for whatever reason) and committing flagrant (and some of them dangerous) fouls on a defenseless player. That’s the part I think is dumb and hasn’t even been effective.

Talk trash to her. “Harass” her on D, hand-check her, tug her jersey, make her play through hard screens & box outs.

I don’t think anyone expects other players to give her bouquets of flowers on the court. They don’t have to like her or can want to “take her down a peg”. The non-basketball plays are bs though.
