True. If you don't want any dairy in your diet, that would be the way to go.

However, most of your nut milks, etc are no better for you than regular milk. Some are worse.

You are adding in emulsification to the process; which is a centrifuge to spin down and separate the lipid fats. The separation agents used to speed up and uniformly distribute the lipid back in can use bonding agents to keep it from separating in the packaging.

None of the nut mills are good sources of protein and so they fortify (read: add artificially) with it to match dairy. This too requires emulsion.

Plus almonds are goitrogenic - they can cause problems with the thyroid and people struggling with weight issues can actually worsen their problems because of it.
