Packers QB Jordan Love believed to have non-season ending MCL

The Packers had Michael Pratt, Sean Clifford, and Jason Eason in training camp. They traded for Malik Willis just a few weeks ago and released all other QBs that went to camp other than the starter, Jordan Love. They entered last nights game with just 2 active gameday QBs, Jordan Love and Malik Willis who are also the only two QBs on their 53-man active roster. Sean Clifford, who went to training camp with the Packers, is currently a member of the practice squad.

Love is expected to miss anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. Unless they get some better news soon I would expect to see the Packers put him on IR where he will have to miss a minimum of 4 games. When looking at the Packers schedule, it looks harder to me on the back end than it does on the front end. If the Packers can get to .500 at 3-3 after 6 games they would still be in good shape. If they stumble to a 1-5 or 2-6 start, they may find themselves in a hole to deep to climb out of.

GB will most certainly make some kind of move to bolster their QB room. There's no way they stand pat with just Willis as the starter for now and elevating Clifford from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Unsigned free agent quarterbacks are Ryan Tannehill, P.J. Walker, Kellen Mond, C.J. Beathard, Trevor Siemian, Nate Sudfeld, and Max Duggan.

There are approximately 30 QBs on practice squads across the league. I would think most of them would jump at the chance to sign with the Packers bc at least for one day they would have to be on the 53-man roster and with the current situation they would have a legit chance to compete for the temporary starting job.

Flacco may have to get up off of his couch early this year!
