We may never see this Again when it comes to Qbs

I think the reason for the decline is because of the changes in defensive packages. From 2000’s and before most defenses ran base 4-3 or 3-4 on 1st & 2nd down, bringing in a nickel and sometimes a dime DB and maybe a pass rush specialist on 3rd down. Now most teams base defense is a nickel and some employ 3-3-5 as their base. Unless it’s a goal line or very short yardage down, teams rarely run a true 4-3 set, there are some teams that still run 3-4 like Pittsburgh and Carolina.

There’s also more versatility in LB’s and DB’s these days. Back then there were seperate positions of FS’s and SS’, now days they’re pretty similar and interchangeable.
