What got me excited was simply using players at what they’re good at. You hear a lot of people say things like “putting players in a position to be successful”. That’s exactly what we saw yesterday. For example, Kamara is not a power back. Yes, he has some power, but his biggest strengths are speed and agility. He excels in space. That’s what we gave him yesterday, a lane to get in gear and then simply read his blocks. We didn’t just pound him into a stacked line repeatedly, hoping he’d break free.
