I took notes on all of Penning's snaps against the Panthers in Week 1
So i rewatched the game and focused on 70
Positives- 95 ( an all pro DT) is going to be having nightmares for a bit, on run downs Penning just kept downblocking him to oblivion.
His run blocking is solid and he even looked ok in space on screens and pulling ( other than the slip).
The scheme clearly helps him as he was rarely, asked for a deep set pass pro on a long developing pass play
Negatives: still too high on pass sets and absorbs first contact too much
But in all a pretty damn positive outing and kept 2 all pros ( clowney and brown) virtually off stats sheets
1st series
run right- pushed 95 back
2run left- sealed backside
pass right, blocked 95 9 good shove at the end of play
pass left to 41, Clowney pushed him back pretty good

Pass, to hill on sideline gets beat inside by clowney ( late hit flag)
Run left, crashes down and seals 95
Pass pro on 43, carr steps up and gets sacked
Wide pitch to 41, pulls and blocks #2 for big gain
