Kirk Cousins May Be More Hurt Than Thought

You need more than 1 play to determine if his rehab didn't go well but in order to throw any kind of ball with any velocity you need to be pushing off the ball of your rear foot...

I've never really looked at his mechanics before but you should also look at his pre-injury throws to see if he is one of these people that don't use their lower body very much when throwing.

He is getting very little push-drive off of that foot.

I had the Atlanta game on in the background while the Saints were stomping out the kitties.

People who didn't watch the game really don't understand how bad it is. Cousins was never mobile to begin with and now he's a genuine statue. They don't trust him to be able to make a 5 step drop without falling over, and their offensive line got whooped across the board. Their defense has a lot of holes but had the benefit of playing Justin Fields and a putrid Steelers offense.

If the Saints had opened the season against Atlanta, I don't think Atlanta scores. I don't think Atlanta crosses the 50 yard line. I think the shellacking the Panthers got would look like a close and competitive game to what they'd have done to the alcons.
