I looked at some video of Cousins from past years. He has a strange throwing stance. He often lifts his back foot while throwing. I think he has a pretty good bit of natural arm strength, so he doesn't need that strong back foot like somebody like Brees, who had a somewhat weaker arm. The biggest thing with Cousins now is his lack of mobility and agility. It is likely that he's nowhere near 100% physically and he might never be, but he's either not comfortable back peddling from center or the Falcons don't think he has the confidence yet to do it. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues or if their game plan against Pittsburgh was to not take many direct center snaps.
