QB Depth Around The League - (Dolphins Dilemma?)

But where do you find said backup? We talk consistently how there are about 20 good QBs in a league with 32 places. Then you need 32 quality backups where what are there 7? And when your starter is making what a quarter of the salary cap? Where does the cap space for a quality (highly paid) backup come in? The Saints don’t have one either. We have a rookie that ran well and threw a couple of nice passes and a couple year vet who on the field didn’t produce like they hoped. So can’t fault the dolphins there
A good number of teams signed viable backups this offseason. A few others made trades for what they believe are viable backups (which are debatable, but in their eyes they are). None of those teams that signed backup QBs, have a starting QB with concussion issues, unlike the Dolphins.
As for us, like I just stated, we don’t have a QB with concussion issues.
The entire world saw Tua seize up from that 1st concussion. The Dolphins know exactly how severe his issue is, they just won’t ever admit it publicly. If they failed to get a viable backup, then they have only themselves to blame bc they had more than enough chances/ways to get one.
Look at all of the QBs that changed teams. Do you notice a team that didn’t nab one of these guys???? Yup, the Dolphins.
