Mahomes was going to be his pick so I wouldn't say he was horrible at evaluating QB.
When you have Drew Brees as your starting QB you aren't going to get many early first round draft picks... this makes selecting a QB in the draft difficult.
The one issue I don't understand about his coaching this year is not getting a work-horse RB to take some of the pressure off of Nix...
