Our Offense without Taysom Hill

We did fine you say. What part of the offense did fine? What game were you watching?

The Saints running game and passing game were both anemic almost the entire game. Out of rhythm and out of sync all day with the exception of the short TD drive.

Maybe the Saints missed HIll more than those stats suggest. How did the Saints fare in those two critical short yardage situations?

You know, the Kamara Wildcat run and the 4th down Kamara run, both coming up short and failing to gain the 1st down.

Hill has a league high 87.5% Success Rushing Rate in 2024. He has gotten a 1st down on 62.5% of his rushing attempts in 2024. Amazing!

Maybe, just maybe, Hill would have been able to gain the 1st down in those short yardage situations.

On a day when the Saints averaged 3.1 yards per rushing attempt maybe the Saints missed Hills 6.6-yard average per rushing attempt.

With Hill in the game when the Saints break the huddle the defense is unaware what the personnel grouping will be. Who will be the QB, FB, RB, TE, WR?

Yesterday the Eagles didn't have any concerns or problems figuring that out. They employed a defense with personnel that matched up to the Saints offensive personnel before the Saints ever huddled up. Not only did they not have to account for where Hill might be, they didn't have to be concerned for what he might do.

It's no coincidence the Saints offense was unpredictable and unstoppable in the 1st 2 games and looked just the opposite then next game without TH7 in the lineup.
in 2 games he has 2 catches for 2 yards and 10 carries for 53 yards. And to this day right now, I can't tell you when he left the Cowboys game. Did it look like we missed something there?

That doesn't read like someone who makes our offense tick. He's a nice to have...not a must have otherwise we would've gotten a suitor when we dangled him out there with that 2nd round tender and other teams would've moved heaven and earth to find their Taysom Hill.
