All I Want for Christmas Contest 2023!

You ever tried telling anyone outside Britain how much you weigh in stones. Blank looks everywhere. Still you got to hand it to the crazy peculiarities of imperial measurement. 16oz in a lb. Then 14 lbs in a stone. So….224oz in a stone :)

I can still remember 12 pence in a shilling and 20 shilling in a pound too ;)
It's not that crazy! 16 oz in a lb because you can easily divide it into halves, quarters, and eighths, similarly lots of division options with 12 pence in a shilling, 20 shillings in a pound.

And 14lbs in a stone so you can trade wool with fourteenth century Florence.

What's crazy about that?
